New Features
DS-232: Admin > Projects > Recalculate Project – filter by Resource ID (Resource Code)
An option has been added to the Recalculate Project "Custom Selections" that lets you filter by a specific Resource ID/Resource Code. This means administrators can now run the recalculation process for just one resource’s data, giving you more control and potentially saving time when only a single resource needs to be updated.
DS-367: Cost Estimate Export – change CAM header to CAM Email Address
The Cost Estimate export (and its import template) now uses "CAM Email Address" as the column header instead of just "CAM." This makes it clearer that the field refers to the Control Account Manager’s email address. The import mapping screen has also been updated to match this change for consistency.
DS-409: Export Page – select multiple Cost Classes for Resource Assignments and CETP exports
Users can now select multiple Cost Classes when exporting data from the Resource Assignments or Cost Estimate Time-Phased (CETP) exports. Previously, only one cost class could be selected at a time. This update makes it easier to export data for several cost classes at once—especially helpful for projects that involve multiple cost classes.
DS-445: Admin > Projects > Project Name trims trailing spaces
Project Name fields will now automatically remove any trailing spaces when saving. This prevents accidental blank characters at the end of a project name. This helps keep your project names clean and consistent, and prevents issues like mismatched names during data imports.
DS-450: Make Calendar Notebook Field Type work with Imports
Calendar-type notebook fields in Cost Estimate (WP), Resource Assignment (RA), Risk Register, WBS Dictionary and Budget Timephase imports now correctly detect Excel OA date values, convert them to real dates, and store them correctly as dates in the database.
DS-462: Admin > Import/Export – Resource Assignment export supports multiple "Resource Result" filters
The Resource Assignment export now includes a multi-select Resource Result filter, allowing you to choose one or more resource result categories. Similar to the Time-Phased Export, you can filter the output by one or more resource result categories (for example, to export only specific types of resource assignments). It gives you more control and flexibility to get just the data you need.
DS-467: Cost Class / Earned Value Curves – graph labels on first and last month
For cost class and earned value curve charts, labels will now always appear at both the first and last month on each graph. This makes it easier to see where each curve begins and ends, helping you quickly understand the full range of the data and improving overall chart readability.
DS-473: WP Report: Make Sections with No Data Disappear / Make Sure Hidden Sections are Not in Downloads
Sections without data on the Work Package Report are now automatically hidden from the report view. If a section (such as Risks, Variances, etc.) contains no information, it disappears from the report view for clarity. Moreover, any such empty sections are omitted from PDF or Excel exports of the report, so the downloaded reports will only include sections that had data.
DS-512: Budget Form – CPR section shows last available data if current period is empty
The CPR section on the Budget Form will now show data from the most recent available reporting period if there's no data for the current one. For example, if the project’s reporting period is set in the future and no CPR data exists for that date yet, the Budget form will automatically show the most recent CPR values instead of leaving the section empty. This way, you’ll always see relevant earned value metrics—even when the reporting period is ahead of the data.
DS-525: Schedule Import/Export – prefix custom fields to avoid name collisions
Custom fields in the Schedule Import and Export are now clearly labeled with a prefix to distinguish them from standard fields. So, if a custom field has a name similar to a built-in one, it will appear with a prefix like "Custom" in the templates. This helps prevent confusion and avoids issues during import or export—such as the past problem with duplicate "Activity Type" fields—by making it easy to tell custom and standard fields apart.
DS-538: Import / Exports: Make the Header of all Required Fields a Light Green Background.
We've updated all Export and Import templates to highlight required fields with a light green column header. This visual highlight makes it easy to identify which columns are mandatory when you prepare data for import or review exported data. By clearly marking required fields, users can avoid missing essential information during data entry and ensure imports run smoothly.
DS-541: Quick Status – new system-generated "Status" column for task progress
The Quick Status page now includes a new Status column that automatically shows the current status of each activity. This column displays one of three values: Not Started (if the start date is in the future or % Complete is 0), In Progress (if % Complete is between 1% and 99%), or Complete (if % Complete is 100%). You can also filter the Quick Status view by this Status column, making it easier to focus on tasks based on their progress ( not started, in progress, or completed).
DS-610: Admin > Import Resource Assignments – merge values for duplicate entries
The Resource Assignment import process has been improved to better handle duplicate entries by merging their values. If the import file contains multiple lines for the same resource assignment (i.e. all identifying fields match), Dash360 will now add the values together instead of keeping only using the last entry. This change ensures that no data is lost—previously, duplicate entries could overwrite each other, but now all values are preserved and combined during import.
DS-634: Cost Summary Resources Report – add Resource Assignment Comments field
We have added the Resource Assignment Comments field to the Cost Summary Resources report. Any comments entered on resource assignments will now be visible in this report’s output. This enhancement makes it easier to review notes or commentary alongside the resource data, and addresses the missing field that some users needed for their reporting.
DS-674: Cost Estimate import hanging due to reporting table rebuild
Resolved an issue that could cause the Cost Estimate import process to never finish under certain conditions. The import would hang if it coincided with a reporting table (RPT) rebuild operation running in the background. This conflict has been fixed so that the Cost Estimate import completes normally even when background reporting tables are being updated.
Bug Fixes
DS-385: Admin > Projects > Process Icon > Recalculate Project Needs to Light Up for More Actions
Today, if you change certain items in the Admin (Resources, Rates, Resource Calculations, etc.), the Admin > Projects > Process icon / Recalculate Project option will light up. This is because changing this data may cause a change in your timephase data globally. We have enhanced this feature so these options light up when more things change (like changing a Rate File that is attached to a Project’s Cost Class).
DS-596: "adminRegistry is not defined" error
Resolved a JavaScript error `'adminRegistry is not defined'` that was appearing in the application under certain conditions. This error no longer occurs, ensuring it does not disrupt any admin page functionality.
DS-611: "$(...).tab is not a function" TypeError
Resolved JavaScript errors affecting pages with tabbed interfaces.
DS-612: Budget > Budget Form > Export Timephase Data is missing drop down lists
The WBS, Work Package, Resource Type, Cost Class and Resource Code fields in this export file has dropdown lists to make it easier for you to select the data that is already in your project. These dropdown lists were accidentally removed in the last release. We have correct this issue.
DS-635: Schedule Import – Previous Month Start Date Saving Incorrectly
Corrected an issue where the Previous Month Start date was incorrectly saved during schedule imports.
DS-636: Duplicate Resource Assignment Notebook Entries Causing Errors
Fixed an issue causing duplicate notebook entries, ensuring consistent notebook data handling.DS-649: "adminRegistry is not defined" error
There was an issue where the Admin Registry was not properly being populated when viewing certain Admin pages. This would cause a Javascript error to occur. That has been fixed in this release.
DS-650: Shift Project Dates feature not shifting all data
The Shift Project Dates feature has been fixed to ensure all time-phased data moves correctly when a project's timeline is adjusted. Previously, shifting a project’s dates—such as pushing it out by several months—could cause issues where some resource assignment values didn’t shift properly, resulting in gaps like every other month showing zero values. With this fix, all resource assignment data (such as monthly values for labor) now shifts accurately, so the project timeline update is complete and accurate.
DS-652: Risk Register Export to Excel is Broken
The Excel export functionality in the Risk Register was broken. It now works as expected.
DS-654: Premium Pay not calculating for current period in project recalc
A bug has been fixed where Premium Pay wasn’t being calculated during a project recalculation if a resource assignment ended before the last day of the current reporting period. Now, even if the assignment finishes mid-month, the system will correctly include Premium Pay for that month when the project is recalculated. This ensures Premium Pay is always accounted for in the current period, regardless of when assignments end.
DS-676: Admin > Projects – Trim Spaces in Cost Class/Cost Set names
Cost Class and Cost Set names now automatically remove unnecessary whitespace when using the Add / Edit forms.
DS-683: Backup Project function failing to complete
Resolved issues preventing project backups from completing successfully.
