New Features

DS-1301: New Dash360 Logo

We're excited to introduce our new Dash360 logo as part of our ongoing website refresh. Along with the updated branding, we've enhanced the interface by extending the left navigation menu to full height and repositioning the logo for better visibility. These changes are the first step in modernizing the Dash360.com marketing website and improving the overall user experience.

DS-113: Lock Cost Class

You can now lock cost classes to prevent unwanted changes. This feature is disabled by default and requires enabling the Feature-Lock-Class Registry setting in both the Default registry and your project's registry. Once locked, a cost class cannot be modified until explicitly unlocked, including certain admin-area items. Lock icons with hover tooltips help identify which elements are affected by this protection.

DS-186: CPR - 5 New Excel Export Formats

The CPR now supports IPMR Formats 1-5 for Excel exports: Format 1 (WBS report), Format 2 (OBS report - requires OBS file setup), Format 3 (Baseline), Format 4 (Staffing), and Format 5 (Explanation & Problem Analysis/Variance Narrative Report). To ensure proper export functionality, please complete the project information in Admin > Projects > Edit Project > General tab before using these new formats.

DS-915: Performance Improvements for Active/Inactive Projects

Marking a project as "inactive" now provides significant performance benefits by archiving project data behind the scenes, while still keeping the project visible in the Admin area. Previously, inactive projects were simply hidden from Budget, Earned Value, Risk, and Reporting areas, but the data remained in active memory. This enhancement means customers with many unused projects (e.g., 50 total projects with only 3 active) will see noticeable speed improvements by deactivating old projects. Projects can be reactivated at any time, which fully restores them to their original state with no data loss.

Bug Fixes

DS-1309: Report Excel Exports Showing Numbers as Strings

Fixed an issue where numbers, currency, and percentages in Excel exports appeared as text strings rather than properly formatted values. This eliminates the need for manual reformatting after downloading reports, saving time and reducing errors in data manipulation.

DS-1257: WBS / Work Package Codes Should not Have Trailing Spaces

The system now automatically removes leading and trailing spaces from WBS and Work Package codes. This prevents common copy-paste errors and resolves various issues users experienced when invisible spaces were inadvertently included in codes.

DS-1126: Admin > Import Resource Assignments: Bug when deleting records in a Leap Year

Fixed a bug that prevented proper deletion of Resource Assignment records during leap years. The system now correctly handles date calculations and deletions regardless of the calendar year configuration.

DS-910: Budget > Budget Reports > Cost Summary Resources Report: Work Package Showing Resource Assignment ID instead of Work Package Number

Corrected the Work Package field display to show the proper Work Package Number instead of the internal Resource Assignment ID. This ensures consistent and meaningful information across all budget reports.

DS-781: Reporting > Work Package Report: Sections Don't Appear that Should

Fixed an inconsistency where navigating to the Work Package Report from different menu locations would display different sections for the same work package. All report sections now appear consistently regardless of the navigation path used.

DS-734: Admin > Import Schedule: Error if Work Package Weight Field is Empty

The system no longer throws an error when the optional Work Package Weight field is left empty during schedule imports. This field remains optional and can be safely omitted without affecting the import process.

DS-615: Budget > Budget Form: Adding a Resource Assignment Shows Previously Selected Resource Code / Basis Code in Dropdowns

Fixed dropdown behavior to ensure Resource Code and Basis Code fields start empty when adding new Resource Assignments. This prevents confusion and accidental selection of previously used values from other assignments.

DS-684: Budget > Budget Form: Add Resource Assignment with 0 Value Being Created

The system now only creates Resource Assignments when the Save button is explicitly clicked. Previously, partially completed forms would create $0 assignments even without saving, which cluttered the budget data.

DS-682: Admin > Users > Delete Inactive User Error

Resolved restrictions that prevented deletion of inactive users who had performed certain system actions. Administrators can now properly remove inactive users regardless of their historical activity in the system.

DS-911: Reporting > Cost Summary Report / Form 1030 Report: Removing All Cost Classes would throw an Error

Fixed an error that occurred when deselecting all cost classes from the filter options. Both reports now handle empty cost class selections gracefully and display appropriate results or messages.

DS-912: Reporting > Cost Summary Report: Signature Steps Missing from Report

Signature Step data now properly displays in the Cost Summary Report when available. This field was previously hidden due to a display bug, even when valid data existed.

DS-996: Budget > Budget Form: Projects without a Resource File Now Throw a User-Friendly Error Message

Projects lacking a Resource File now display a clear error message when users attempt to add Resource Assignments. The message guides users to set up a Resource File first, preventing confusion about why assignments cannot be created.

DS-1261: Admin > Project > Registry: Some Registry Items Not Editable

Fixed a UI bug that incorrectly marked certain editable Registry Items as read-only. All Registry Items now properly reflect their editable status and can be modified as intended.

DS-913: Budget > WBS Dictionary: Dictionary not Sorted Correctly When Custom Sort Order is Used

The WBS Dictionary now respects custom sort orders defined in the WBS Tree. This ensures consistent organization across all WBS-related views and reports when using non-standard sorting.

DS-1312: Budget > WBS Tree: WBS Code File Name Showing as Null

Fixed a display issue where selecting a WBS Level would incorrectly show the WBS Code File Name as "null". The correct file name now persists throughout navigation and selection changes.
